This is my favorite place in all of LA. When I'm upset, I like to go here. I love the sound of the ocean and the way the wind feels on my face while I swing. There's something about swinging that makes you forget everything you're worried about. It makes me realize how small my problems are and how big my potential is. It makes me remember that it's hard to stay upset when there is so much beauty in the world.

My special place isn't a place I visit often. In fact, I really only stood there once. But the brief time I spent was so raw, so eye opening, it stood out above familiarity. Have you ever had an experience like that? Where everything stops and all you have is what's in front of you and it's utterly breathtaking? Like nothing else before or after mattered? I had that and I will never be the same, in the best way.

Her Story: "Near where I live in upstate NY there is a road name Liddiard Rd. It's is an old, one lane, dirt road with just a couple of abandon log cabins on it. It is my special place because growing up my dad and I both shared a love for this "forgotten" street and we would go running there together every morning in the summer time. My daddy passed on June 22, 2012 when I was 16, but this road still holds so many memories and will always be my favorite place to go to think or clear my head."
